As one of the most respected hospitals in the Triad area of North Carolina, Alamance Regional Medical Center had been experiencing rapid growth in all areas of its facility. The campus and WAN Network had also grown in size and complexity and the IT organization found it had to focus considerably more resources to maintain 24/7 support continuity. Aging networking equipment and a shortage of experienced network engineers in the local job market led ARMC to call in an experienced Managed Solutions partner to help augment its existing organization and lower total cost of ownership.
What We Did
From rmsource’s Network Operations Center in Cary, N.C., we developed a custom Managed Solutions account for ARMC that included 24/7 management of all existing LAN/WAN/WLAN/Security networking devices. This custom solution also included access to the entire rmsource Managed Solutions support and engineering team, who provides on-premise break-fix, modernization and design services on an as-needed basis.
rmsource’s solution provided 24/7 team based support and uptime as well as enabling network equipment modernization on the Campus LAN/WAN at the pace of business. This helped to streamline the hospital’s IT organization, allowing it to meet both current and future business requirements and better address end user needs.
